I am Sassa, originally from Taiwan, moving 8,000 km away to the other side of the earth, Sweden. Now pursuing my PhD at the University of Gothenburg. My research interest lies largely in dendroclimatology (climate reconstruction using tree rings), with a special focus on climate impacts on human health over the past two thousand years.
At home I am a beekeeper with six beehives, accompanied by two cats and two determined rabbits. When I have time, I travel to places where the wildlife can be seen in their natural habitat in a combination of supporting local communities. I am deeply inspired by nature, the pristine forests in the north of Peruvian Amazonia and Mongolia are among my favourite so far.
Everyday is a new chapter!
